PROSECUTORS are expected to oppose bail for a 61-year-old South Australian woman accused of the 2002 murder of her former lesbian partner.
Francis Lorraine Marshall faced the Adelaide Magistrates Court today and will appear again on Friday when a magistrate will consider her suitability to be released on home detention.
Ms Marshall was arrested last week for the murder of 46-year-old Victor Harbor woman Bernadette Liston in October 2002. Ms Liston was bashed, stabbed and shot five times.
Her body was found by her 12-year-old daughter when she returned home from school.
While the gun used to shoot Ms Liston was never found, police last year said they were concentrating their investigations on a particular subject.
They repeatedly said they believed the childcare worker knew her killer as there was no sign of forced entry at her house, south of Adelaide.
